This is a wonderful Origami experience where you will learn about the Japanese tradition and also purely makes you happy, calm and smile by folding paper!

Japanese Origami artist Toshiko will be teaching you to fold beautiful flowers like tulips and lilies, kimono book marks, lovely gift & jewellery boxes to kawaii dress bunting. Every workshop has a different theme, so it'll be wonderful surprise!

Toshiko will also be adding a special 'Japanese topping'..for example, wearing & explaining about "Kimono", Japanese language, seasonal ceremonies in Japan.

Wow! This was fantastic from the second Toshi came down to show us to the—wonderfully decorated—room, to the last show-and-tell of our creations. Toshi guided us through the techniques, and the group quickly developed a camaraderie such that those of us who came on our own were quickly taken along in the atmosphere of helping each other as a group. Toshi worked in a way that suited each person’s pace and ability, so it was enjoyable for everyone. I loved it, and have booked again for December 6. (A quick mention also to the Snooty Fox—the venue—for their warm welcome.)

This is the second if Toshi’s classes I’ve attempted and it was—if possible—even better than the first 😃 There was a real team spirit amongst the participants, as we helped and encouraged each other. And left with a gorgeous triangular gift box, and poinsettia decoration. I’ve already booked for the next class. ❤️

I’m running out of superlatives for Toshi’s workshops. This is my third, and how she retains her patience when I’m sighing in the corner over a forgotten fold I don’t know. 😊 Cannot recommend the workshops highly enough. Roll on the next one!

What a lovely little origami class. Toshiko was a breath of fresh air and a kind, patient, fun teacher. The class was well-resourced and perfectly paced, with enough one-to-one attention for anyone who needed it. Toshiko was kind enough to offer extra papers to make another star at home. Toshi created a beautiful and welcoming workshop space for our origami lesson with a wide selection of colourful patterned papers to choose from. Toshi taught us two different creatures - a rabbit and a celebration crane to welcome in the new Year of the Rabbit! She demonstrated and explained the process clearly, making it easy to follow along. It was a very enjoyable afternoon, the 90 minutes flew by. Toshi is a wonderfully warm, patient and generous teacher. I would highly recommend.

As always, a fun session with Toshi. I brought a guest who ended up being better than me! Cheek of it! Will definitely be rebooking .

Toshiko has been so great to work with and delivered two workshops to students at our university.  Everyone really enjoyed the sessions and produced some wonderful pieces which are now on display in our buildings.

Learn to make your own Origami models in this cheerful, relaxed and fun hour long paper folding workshop, with Japanese Origami artist Toshiko Kurata. 

Every workshop has a different theme in which Toshi will be showing & explaining how to fold traditional paper models.
 
Some examples of origami we may make together could be:  
Beautiful Flowers, Kimono Bookmarks, Charming Gift Box, Cute Paper Animals, Lovely Hidden Note Hearts, Christmas or Easter decorations or Kawaii Dress Bunting. 

It'll be wonderful surprise!

Toshiko will also be adding a special 'Japanese topping'! For example, maybe wearing Kimono or sharing a few words of Japanese language or explaining seasonal ceremonies in Japan.

Origami is also a great way to focus your patience and attention span, develop your eye/hand coordination and train up your memory.

You can use any square paper for the workshops - it could be anything from old magazines to printer paper to proper colourful Japanese Origami paper. 
Sometimes we may use glue & scissors so please prepare them for just in case.
